39 weeks!

39 weeks! My baby belly is BIG:)

We are just waiting patiently for the baby to be here.  We have been waiting for the baby for over 9 months now! I think we are prepared as much as we can be and are so excited that we can't wait any longer. We know the baby will be here by this week or for sure by next:) Keep us and the baby in your thoughts and prayers. We are hoping everything goes well and we can't wait to meet our little angel. We will let everyone know when the baby is here as soon as possible:) Thanks for following the pregnancy blog. We will continue it and keep posting pictures once the baby arrives, so you will be able to watch the baby grow instead of me!

Baby's crib and we are going to put the baby's name above it!

                                                                        in my 36th week:)

In my ninth month and I am doing well! This baby should be here soon!!!! We are incredibly excited and are just waiting for the little ones arrival. I think the suspense of the baby being a boy or girl is starting to get to me. I just want to know what "it" is. I can't wait to see what our little angel is going to be and give him/her a name. The baby is still moving a lot, which I do not know how he/she has any more room left. I feel little punches and kicks all the time and can actually feel the baby's body moving all around. I went to see the doctor on Friday and she thinks the baby's head is down and the heartbeat sounded perfect, which are two good signs.
Thankfully, I have been feeling pretty good. I have been going on a walk or sometimes even two almost everyday. I try to stretch everyday, do my weights and am still doing yoga at least once a week. I only have a few complaints or "symptoms" of pregnancy that bother me. My back sometimes aches and I definitely have a hard time sleeping most nights. I think being this big makes me quite uncomfortable! I had some issues two weeks ago that landed me in the hospital. The doctors thought I had kidney stones, but were not positive. Thankfully, I was only in the hospital for one day/night and since then I have been luckily feeling back to normal. The only good thing about the stay was that it prepared me and I think prepared Brian for what to do and how to act when I actually do go into labor.
The baby's room is ALL DONE! We are so happy with how it turned out. I think it will be perfect for a boy or girl. I like the colors we chose and I feel like the room is very calming.
Not much else is new, except for the fact that the baby will be here in less than a month!!!! We are ready as anyone can be for our first baby! Our bags are packed, we have read the books and now all we have to do is hope and pray that everything else goes well and the baby is healthy and happy:)

time is flying by!!!!!

Brian with my BIG baby belly:)

                                                                   Almost 33 weeks:)

I LOVE my baby belly !!!!!

I can't believe that I am in my eighth month of pregnancy. Time is going by quite fast. We are getting excited for our little ones arrival. We have been busy as usual and preparing for his/her big day! ALL of our furniture is now built and in the nursery. Brian worked very hard and put together our crib, dresser/changing table, hutch for the dresser and book/toy shelf. I finally cleaned out the closet and filled it with baby stuff. The curtains are hung and now all we have to do is hang some pictures and things on the wall. I started washing all of the bedding, towels etc. All I have left to do is wash the clothes and some of the toys. My in-laws were soooooooooo nice and drove to Texas and brought all the rest of our gifts that we got from our shower in Michigan. We were so grateful that they were able to help us out and do that for us. Plus, they got to see our house and see how the room is coming along :)

Baby seems to be doing great. I am sure baby is growing because I am still feeling some strong movements. I go to another one of my two week check ups on Wednesday. Hopefully everything will be great! By the 37th week, we will be having a sonogram done to make sure the baby is doing well and to get a guesstimate of how big this baby is or will be when he/she is born!

We would love to hear what everyone thinks.
- Do you think we are having a BOY or GIRL???
-What day and time do you think the baby will be born?
-How big will he/she be???

leave us a comment and let us know :)

in my third trimester!!!!

                                                                Baby Brunch in Dallas:)

 At my shower in MI:)

My belly is getting BIG!  @ 29 weeks:)

YAY! We have made it into the third trimester. I am so excited that this baby will be here sooner than later:) The baby is growing a lot. I can feel him/her moving all the time. The movements are getting so strong. At first I was just feeling "kicks" and now I can actually feel the baby moving around and can watch my stomach move too! The baby is definitely active and moves throughout the day and NIGHT! I went to the doctor the other day and everything seems to be coming along wonderfully. I told the doctor how active the baby was and when she took the baby's heartbeat she had to keep moving the machine around because the baby kept moving. Then, the baby kicked it. The doctor agreed we have quite the active baby already:).

We went back to Michigan a few weeks ago for our shower. It was absolutely amazing. We loved seeing our family and friends. It meant so much to us that we got to see so many people and spend some time with everyone. The shower was spectacular and more than we could have asked for. My sister and sister-in-laws did a fantastic job planning and throwing the shower for us!!! We loved every moment of it and are so thankful for all the baby gifts we received. We are gracious to have such a wonderful support system and we love how everyone is sharing in our joy at this time!

Last week my friends in Dallas had a brunch for me. It was so nice to have my good friends that are in Texas all together. I am so thankful that I have people here that I truly care about and care so much about me. Without my friends around, I think this time would be hard, but they have made Brian and I feel like we have a "family" here. Thanks to all of them for giving our baby such wonderful gifts and for being here for us!

I am down to only working part-time, which is weird, but I think it is good for me. My back was really starting to hurt me somedays and I was getting quite tired on my long days. I am grateful for the extra time I will have to get the house and especially the baby's room ready. I am going to miss working with the kids, but I know I will still keep in touch with them and will try to see them as much as possible. I think they are getting excited for the baby's arrival too! They all laugh at my belly, but it is quite cute!

We are going to start getting the baby's room together this weekend...FINALLY! We have received our dresser/changing table, so Brian is going to put it together this weekend. I ordered the crib today, so it should be here within a week! I think once most of the furniture is in, it will finally feel like a baby's room. I am going to start organizing the toys, books and all the other goodies we already have. Also, I am going to start washing all the bedding, blankets, towels and clothes. I want us to be fully prepared and I do not want to be stressed when our baby comes:) When I get most of the room done, I will post pictures of what it looks like.

26 weeks:)

Brian and I with the "soon-to-be baby" at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth

                                                                        "Big Belly"

                                                        Water Gardens in Fort Worth

It has been almost a month since the last blog and I can't believe how time is flying by. We have been so busy lately, but we are doing well. Brian painted the baby's room about two weeks ago. It is a light sage green color. I think the color was actually called "water sprout." It looks great, but we have nothing else done. We are going to start working on the baby's room in the next few weeks. We have all the ideas for it, so we just need to get in there, start decorating and getting furniture in there. We are so excited to get it ready for the baby, he/she will be here before we know it!

I have been feeling well. I still get quite tired pretty easily. I just need to realize I can't do what I use to do before. I have learned that in the last few weeks. When I do to much, my back and feet start to bother me, so now I know when I need to slow down. I still have been waking up a few times a week in the middle of the night to eat. I eat a huge snack right before I go to bed, but for some reason this baby thinks it is not enough and I wake up sooooo hungry around 2-3 in the morning. I think the baby is trying to prepare me for the lack of sleep and feeding times for when it arrives:) My belly is definitely getting bigger, which means the baby is getting bigger. I think I read he/she should be almost a 1.5-2 pounds and is about the size of a 5 lb. bag of flour. The baby seems to be quite active. I can feel the baby moving on and off  throughout the day and night. It is so thrilling to feel him/her move. The movements are getting stronger and sometimes I can watch my belly even move.

I went to the doctor's yesterday. Everything seems to be going great. I heard the heartbeat and it sounded perfect still. I go back in three weeks and she said I will be filling out paperwork and talking more about when I come for delivery.

We are going back to Michigan for our baby shower this weekend. I am so grateful for my sister and sister-in-laws for throwing it for me. I can't wait to see everyone!!!!

over half way there....22 weeks:)

22 weeks

The past month has been very busy for us, but everything is going great. We finally registered a couple weeks ago at Babies R' Us and Target. I researched a lot of the products before putting them on our registry, so I hope we did a good job and picked some products that will be helpful to us. Our shower will be in May in Michigan. I am looking forward to coming home and seeing everyone :)

My baby bump is getting larger and larger, which means the baby is getting bigger and bigger. The baby should weigh about a pound and is about 11 inches long. A few weeks ago I started to feel some flutters in my tummy. To me, it felt like little bubbles popping in my stomach. I was unsure at the time if that was the baby, but after never feeling those feelings before, I was pretty sure it was him/her. About the past two weeks I am now positive that it is the baby moving. I am now feeling definite movement. The baby seems pretty active. I can tell when it is up and moving, especially when I am sitting, laying down or when I am eating. It is such an amazing feeling to feel the baby move around. Brian is now able to feel the movement when he puts his hands on my belly. We both get excited every time we can feel it! I had a doctors appointment the other day. Everything seems to be normal and moving along. The heartbeat still sounded strong!

a little over 18 weeks:)

                                                                            18 weeks

Not much has changed in the past two weeks. I feel like I am definitely showing and people are actually realizing I am pregnant. My belly is getting bigger by the day. I have been so incredibly hungry lately and have been eating about every two hours. Last weekend, Brian and I went to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. We had a busy weekend, but we had an amazing time.  On Friday, we went to see the Hoover Dam and then spent 3 hours walking around the Grand Canyon. It was amazing and beautiful. We enjoyed every minute of it. On Saturday, we walked the entire strip in Vegas. We walked from Circus, Circus all the way to New York, New York and then back. We went into almost all the hotels and some shops along the way. That night we went to the Mystere Cirque de Soleil show and then after went to the Toby Keith bar. It was an eventful weekend and was very tiring for me, but I am so glad we went.
